This is a mDeBERTa-v3 model which has been fine tuned to detect whether the sentence mentions a social group, as defined by Dolinsky et al (2023) and based on UK and Irish manifestos hand coded by the those authors.

The model performs well, with a test set balanced accuracy of 0.964.
