They provided bottled water for drinking and the buffet breakfast was good. The morning Reception staff were kind and accomodating with questions and requests.","The facilities that are present on site and their website is outdated, there was no bar and they have no liquor licence. A fire had occurred on level 3, and smoke was filling the hallways on level 6, there was no fire alarms or staff letting us know what was happening. We had to contact Reception to find out answers. The Wifi is patchy depending on where you are in the hotel."

Highly recommend,"I am from Hawaii USA, I visited Chennai for Christmas 2023 and stayed at the Clarion Hotel President for eleven days. I liked the hotel layout, the elevators were fast and quiet and the lobby had a beautiful Christmas tree with festive music and welcoming atmosphere as soon as I walked in. 
The rooms were huge, much bigger than American standard hotel rooms and very comfortable. All the amenities were there as any luxury hotel provides. Coffee maker and free waters, shampoos etc etc. There was a smart TV but I did not need it. The free Wi-Fi was strong. The shower could fit two people easily and the water downpour makes you want to stay in longer. It came with a free buffet breakfast that starts your day on a happy note.
The hotel itself was excellent with swimming pools etc etc… but the thing that makes this hotel stand out most was the staff. The People they hired are the best in service and friendliness and made my stay so good and enjoyable. There was Dhiraj with his Santa hat greeting me at every breakfast with a genuine happy smile, Murali, Prem Kumar and Abhay Singh all made my stay so good and memorable. There were so many others and I thank you all for your great services to your guests. I highly recommend this Hotel and team, and I will certainly stay here again. All the best 🙏❤️

The staff is slow to assist you as well; they really drag their feet. Second, I had to wait 45 minutes for a coffee in the hotel restaurant, the breakfast fare wasn't great, and there were stains on some of the glasses and plates. This is why I opted to order in and eat instead of using the hotel's dining facilities for both meals. The hotel staff informed me that they do not provide guests with plates when I asked if I might borrow some. Also, I inquired multiple times and was told that there were no dishes available because guests were prohibited from bringing their own food. Wow!! I don't understand why I wasn't told about this rule when I checked in or made my reservation. The fourth issue was that there was no hair dryer in the room, and I was told that the hotel did not have any available for guest use. After I reminded them that this is a 4-star hotel, I finally got a hair dryer two days in. The day before my departure, I finally got around to contacting the hotel's management about the crockery issue. The manager promised to contact me within two minutes, but apparently he/she seems to be  trapped in a time warp because manager still hasn't called. How is the service, and is it appropriate to rate this establishment as a 4-star establishment? This is the kind of hotel that I wouldn't suggest to my worst enemy.",

I had asked for room service to deliver 2 plates of idly  and hey delivered only 1 and whne i asked the guy delivering he was rude.Overall this is my 5 th time i am staying there in the last 5 years but my experience this time  has been  the worst. Worse they call thema 4 star deluxe and there was no bell boy to even carry the luggages."

No bin in the washroom, overhead shower issues and water wasn’t hot enough, no room slippers provided. After repeated complaints they tried to solve the issues one by one but still lacked in service. I asked for a new room but as it was on a higher floor with dim lights I did not take it but to clean the existing room to which they did not do much."

He gave us another room on 11th floor but it was pretty much the same, i had them change the sheets anyway. Towels were not there, and they said they will be there by 4 pm, simply unacceptable that guests are checked in without towels after traveling to get there that's the first things guests want to do is take a shower, not possible at this joke of a hotel. We missed the beginning of our movie while waiting for towels, and went without having a shower, got back at almost midnight to find they still hadn't given towels !  We had to fight every day with them to get towels and it was the same thing each day, promised they will be brought to us soon, but they never delivered. Utter joke. The breakfast was appalling, asked for dosa to be prepared fresh, it comes to us cold, and the dahl luke warm, they just can't seem to do anything right. The tea is prepared early and left in a thermos, very bad tasting, that thermos needs to be cleaned thoroughly."

But it was horrible. There was leakage as soon as u enter the main door. Everytime u walked in and out of the room drops of water would be on our head. The bathroom kept flooding no proper drainage. The glass door of the bathroom was all shaky and we were terrified that it may just drop n shatter. The switches were not working and even some of the sockets. The room had a peculiar smell. The phone would never connect to the reception. It took at least 4-5 tries. Everytime we requested for something it never came or either came after asking 3-4 times. I would rate our stay as the worst.

I had to call for extra toiletries, towels.. Bathroom silicone beadings on bathroom doors  were so bad as that it was black in colours.. The bath area was flooded while bathing and all the water over flew a d we had to stand in that puddle of water while bathing..
The plumber tried to rectify it but for no luck.. The issue persisted…"

1. The moment we entered room, we opened our shoes and were bare foot. And the moment we climbed the bed we saw our foot were as dirty as we roamed in an open field.
2. One of our room was a smoking room, but it was nothing different than a normal room. No extra ventilation.
3. The bathroom was so dirty that we just cannot use it.
4. The door of bathroom was missing, to be precise the shower door was missing.
5. The staff themselves were so negative about the property, most of them are looking for a job elsewhere. And point, is they were vocal to their customers.

We changed the hotel the next day of our check in and even paid an extra day charge. As they said, booking.com will charge them anyways. And I was only thinking, how to get out of this property asap with my family.
Mind it we booked 3 rooms for 10 days."

Unfortunatly that is not the case. When we arrived last night, it was to a dark reseption full of mosquitoes and the person working was not prepared for our arrival and was mixing up our information. 
When we came up to the room we were shocked by the poor state of it. Wallpaper is falling off, all the tables appears to be very dirty, and there are huge amounts of mold and rust all over the walls and windows. This is surely a helath risk. 
Because we arrived so late at night we had no choise but to stay, but we  be checking out today because we can not stay here. 

We now need to make new reservations at a different hotel and distrupt our plans. 

In addition to the hotel appearing extremly different online, they also do not have wifi that works, the minibar is just an empty fridge, and they are advertising a bar («The Purple Room) when in reality the bar has been permanently closed and they do not serve alcohol of any kind. Also they state they have 24hour roomservice, but when we called there was no answer and the reseptionist said he «wasnt there». All of this is fake advertisement. 

Over all our experience with the Clarion hotel did not seem safe or up to standards at all."

11. Because of these issues, I decided to move out early. The hotel tried to give me a runaround to refund the money paid in advance. Had to fight with them for over 1 hour, and also involve ""booking.com"" customer service into it before they issued a refund.
12. These people don't know the meaning of ""Customer Service"". They can now enjoy the bad reviews.

Even the Tea /Coffee during breakfast was cold and no one bothered to supply the hot coffee.
