Superb size of the tv in the room, quick service even when there was a wedding at the same time in the hall. Food for room service was excellent as well. Rooms come packed with everything from an iron board, to a hair dryer, really comfy sheets, bathroom with all the toiletries you'd expect from Marriott. Checkin process was smooth as well. Wifi was perfect. The housekeeping staff are also really proactive about replacing your bottles and other refreshments. It doesn't have any of the unnecessary rules the neighbouring hotels have, especially with respect to bringing your Ola/Uber transport into the main gate, or even ordering food from outside (you'd be surprised at the amount of neighboring hotels that have rules against this). You also find marriot staff members who can speak various languages if you don't want to converse in English.

As the location is in OMR, I'd suggest that you bring your own car (they seem to have ample parking) or be prepared to pay 30-50 rupees more per Ola / Uber ride (only via cash) if you're staying in this area and planning to commute on your own. 

Overall, because it's a Marriot, it's definitely a great option if you're looking for a calm and predictable stay in the area.","Sound proofing is minimal at this property, so you can hear your next door guests no matter how hard you try not to. 

HDMI ports on the walls didn't connect to the tv, so if you're looking to experience the television via HDMI, it's not possible. 

I wish the property had kept a few pens, notepads and stationery in the room by default.

I wish there was an in house gym, or a co-working/public meeting area, but that's okay. 

Even though the rooms are absolutely clean, the bathroom does have stains which must come from years of using hard water to get them cleaned. Nothing to set you off, but it is something to know. 

The room walls also had many stains/marks on them which was definitely created by other guests.",India

I was intrigued to find if the property still maintained it's fantastic hospitality I experienced in my last trip.

Location - Situated in the busy roads of OMR

Getting there & around - Taxis can be arranged or booked. INR 600-750 for a one way trip to/from the Airport.
Plenty of Share-Autos available at the entrance of the Hotel. Need to wait a few minutes to hire an Auto for personal travel. Be ready to negotiate well.

Reception - Smooth & simple. Nasim, Arun, Anand & Palanivel took great care of my reception.

Rooms - Pleasant, Clean rooms good for a couple

Amenities - Kettle with sachets of Tea, Coffee, Creamers & Sugars. Bottles of Bisleri provided.

Television - Airtel connection showing good number of channels in different Indian/English languages

Toilets - Clean. Amenities like Liquid Bath Shower Gel, Liquid Shampoo, Conditioner, Bar Soap, Tooth Brush/Paste, Shaving Kit, Comb & Shower Net provided.

Room Service/House Keeping - Fantastic as ever. Special mention to Srinath & Udesh who are courteous & always at your service.

Restaurant - My stay included Dinner & Breakfast.
a. Dinner - Fantastic way to start your evening. Timings - 7pm-10pm. Chef Parikshit made time to speak to me & understand my dietary preferences & prepared my food accordingly.
Potato Onion Fritters as Starters, Main Courses- Chicken Biriyani, Chicken Tariwala & Dal accompanied by Chapati absolutely made my day.
Deserts included a choice of Ice-Cream (Mango, Strawberry or Butter Scotch) or Gulab Jamun
b. Breakfast - Choice of Indian/Continental/International cuisine.
I had Double Vegetable Omelette with Bread/Butter, Aloo Paratha accompanied by Curd & Vegetable Pickle, Freshly squeezed Orange Juice & a Strawberry Lassi perfect after my hot Afternoon outing.","Thin Walls - Rooms are lined with thin walls. Not recommended for young couples or pray you are not accommodated next to noisy guests. Request for quiter rooms can be made while checking-in.

We always stay with 5 Star like Taj, Radisson, Marriott, Courtyard Marriott AND WE STAYED FOR THE FIRST TIME WITH FAIRFIELD MARRIOTT AND WAS AN AWESOME HOTEL WITH AWESOME STAFF. I should name Mr Pandi ( front Office ) Mr Jibon ( Security ) Ms Ritushree ( F&B ) along with Mr Santosh, Mr Brahma Reddy, Mr Sanjoy, Mr Fulchand, Mr Mohammad. 
These are the BEST WONDERFUL PEOPLES AND MANAGEMENT SHOULD PROMOTE THEM. Even the entire Front Office Staff were just SUPERB, EXCELLENT and looking forward to stay with the hotel again. We reached the hotel at 12-30PM and we checked into one of the two rooms. The other room, they said shall be ready by 3PM. We decided to use the gap time to have lunch at their restaurant on the first floor and by the time we returned to our room it was 2-45PM. 
The other room that was allocated to us was the room adjacent to this room. Can you imagine our horror when we saw that in this period, they had made no attempt to get this other room ready even though I had requested for it again and again since a senior citizen (my mother) was travelling with me on this trip.
This has been one of the worst experiences I have ever had. The customer service is pathetic, the staff are unresponsive and the lobby does not even have a decent sitting arena for senior citizens.
We cut short our stay which was supposed to be a 3 day affair and left immediately!

Staying in the hotel for two weeks every day i had to reprogram my card. Cleaning of the room was good, apart of that all dirt was brushed away up to the corridor, so when you opened the door you stepped into the colection of dust and derbs from whole week. Chairs and curtains  in the room with stains as well. And the most important was half roll of the toilet paper which was never replaced, I had to be very careful to save up to the last day 😜Elevators not in clean condition either, the hand cleaner dispenser spread the liquid all over the place making it disgusting to touch.
I thought that at least gym will be OK but on the first visit I found both running equipment broken. I have reported it on the day one and over 2 weeks nobody have fixed it. Going forward local food was OK but no choice of croissants or other fresh bread drag the standards down. No alcohol drinks served in the restaurant and I would suggest to go for the dinner somewhere else. I was served with different meal than I have ordered and after complaining I was served the same dish moved on to different plate, they were testing my intelligence 😂 Anyway if you require to stay in this location there is other hotel next door with swimming pool.
