I let the hotel know a week in advance that the stay was for my parents and that I wanted to pay in advance. I had confusing conversations with booking staff who gave me conflicting advice but also essentially never answered my questions. We went in circles. Every time I tried to pay online it said the hotel was fully booked so couldn’t pay despite having a booking.com booking for atleast a few weeks. And being provided the payment link by staff. So when my parents turned up there was confusion around the booking and it wasn’t even associated with the booking I made. I got an email a day after the booking saying I didn’t turn up for my booking. Very disappointing and poor communication by staff. Also a lot of unnecessary stress.
