Addressing type hint error

Adding type hints to the functions in these scripts

Added function to combine a list of arrays

Working on how to more efficiently apply density array

Replaced update array with addition of arrays, use convolution filter to streamline thickness calculation. All for loops were removed from these main functions

Testing how to improve piecewise functions

Modified to compute faster "add_pixel" function
