+Warm Greetings from Novotel Chennai...","Unfortunately, some services and staff's responses do not match the expectations from a 5-star hotel. It took 45+ minutes to check-in. While staff were polite, they were not apologetic and conveniently told me that guests who were supposed to check-out by a certain time did not do so. It was painful to wait for so long with a toddler after a long car ride. The room was booked for 2 adults + 1 child, but there was only 1 towel in the room. When we requested for additional towels, a staff member came with just 1 towel. When we asked for 1 more, again politely the staff member pointed to there already being one in the room. I had to specify we have a child who will also need a towel. While it was provided and staff member was polite, it was not pleasant. I expected the housekeeping staff to clean the room in an organised manner, but, unfortunately the rooms were cleaned in an improper manner. There were bed bugs and this was again a big headache. We were given a room that had a door connecting to the next room. Unfortunately, this did not provide proper noise suppression and privacy. The rooms are also very small and very flimsy. I tried tilting my reading lamp and It came loose from the wall. Also, during check out I was told all my bills were paid for, but, 20 mins later as I was travelling I was brought up a laundry bill through call and was asked to pay for the same. +Day 1 we saw cockroaches in the bathroom. Upon investigating the room we found cockroach medicine placed everywhere.Traveling with an infant and toddler I was scared and had to make sure they wouldn't eat it as it was easily reachable.
+If you are lucky you will find cockroaches taking a walk on the sandwiches in the buffet and the furniture too like we did on all three days of our stay.
+Staff didn't respond as expected.They said post COVID(2020) because of the rooms being shut cockroaches have multiplied. It's 2023 and still the cockroaches haven't been eliminated.

+Enjoyed the swimming pool but this is the first swimming pool I saw where there is no kids section or no height difference. Didn't expect this from a good hotel chain like Accor. I have been to many 3, 4, 5 star hotels in India and across the world but never faced this issue.
