## Model Description
This is a finetuned version of the [Luganda-pretrained Gemma-2-2b-it model](https://huggingface.co/Bronsn/gemma-2-2b-it-pretrained) specialized for Luganda to English translation. The model has been trained on the SALT dataset to provide high-quality translations from Luganda to English.
